Writer and Director

Amy Guggenheim, writer/director/producer has been recognized for her multimedia work and short films which have been presented internationally.

Film is a natural medium for the cinematic vision of her stage work over the past twenty years.

A recent Asian Cultural council Fellowship to Japan recipient, her work has received support from the American Embassy, United States Information Agency, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Banff New Media Institute, the Fulbright Foundation, the Mellon Fund, amongst others.

A Third Dan Kendo Player, she is a New George's Affiliate Artist, and a New York Women in Film sponsored member. A part time tenured faculty member of film/film studies at Pratt Institute, and Founder of Global Cinema, she works to develop dialogue between filmmakers around the world.
